At Ortabahçe ("we", "the app") we care about your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data collected through ortabahce.app and the Ortabahçe mobile app.
Account data: your university email address, your password (stored encrypted), and profile details such as name and age.
Profile content: photos, bio, major, year, interests and discovery preferences.
Usage data: matches, messages and in-app interactions.
Technical data: device type, operating system and IP address (for security).
We only use your data to run the service: suggesting matches, enabling messaging, keeping accounts secure and improving the app.
We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.
You can only sign up with a valid university email. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Your data is stored with Supabase (United States, Virginia region) over encrypted connections. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Access is restricted by row-level security rules.
You can permanently delete your account and all your data at any time in Settings → Delete Account. To request a copy or correction of your data, contact support@ortabahce.app.
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in.
We use Google Analytics with Google Consent Mode to understand how the app is used. If you decline, no cookies are set and Google only receives anonymous signals without identifiers. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept in the cookie notice. The data is not used for advertising. You can change your choice by clearing your browser data.
Ortabahçe is for university students aged 18 and over. People under 18 may not sign up.
We will notify you in the app when this policy changes.
